Welcome to the Voices of the Valley Book Festival! As we celebrate our second year, we’re thrilled to welcome authors who share our passion for stories, creativity, and community. This festival was created to uplift local voices and bring readers and writers together, and we’re proud to continue growing that mission. We hope you’ll join us in building a vibrant, supportive space where authors are celebrated, connections are made, and our local literary community continues to thrive.

Call for Authors
We are excited to invite authors of all genres to participate in our Book Festival as we celebrate our second year! From fiction to nonfiction, romance to horror, fantasy, mystery, poetry, children’s books, memoirs, and everything in between. Whether you are self-published or traditionally published, writers at every stage are welcome. This festival is dedicated to celebrating diverse stories, supporting authors, and strengthening our local literary community. Join us to share your work, connect with readers, and be part of a vibrant, inclusive celebration of books and creativity.










Important Information for Application
1. Complete the comprehensive application.
You will be asked to select your tier and panel, if interested. Please review this information.
2. We will contact you with approval.
3. Using the information you provided in your application will create your contract.
4. Sign the Author Agreement and complete the participation fee.

Our goal is to make participation as accessible as possible for authors. To support this, we offer three participation tiers, each with different levels of commitment, cost, and speaking opportunities, so you can choose the option that best fits your needs. Tiers and fees are as follows:
Bronze – $75
Tabling for one day (Saturday or Sunday)
Half-table space (approx. 3 feet) in the Author Hall
Promotion on flyers and social media
NO panel
Silver – $150
All Bronze benefits
Participate in a panel discussion (approx. 40 min)
Choose from genres: Fiction, Nonfiction, Self-Help, or Children’s
Table space on the day of your panel
Gold – $200
All Silver benefits
Table space for both days
Designation as a Featured Author
A solo promotional post highlighting your work
Regardless of which tier you have selected to participate at, we welcome you to have dedicated table space to promote, and sell, your books!
We will have shared table space for your use (two (2) authors per table, about 3ft each).
Bring your books, marketing materials, giveaways to talk to fellow authors and readers!
Panels
The festival will feature four genre moderated panel discussions designed to highlight a range of voices and styles. These panels give authors the opportunity to speak about their work, share insights into their writing process, and present their books alongside fellow authors in the same genre. While participation in a panel is optional and based on your selected tier, we strongly encourage authors to take part, as panels offer a great way to engage with readers and connect with the wider literary community.

Panel Structure:
Each panel is a moderated 50 minute session and will begin with every author having at least 5 min dedicated to talking about their book. After each author has had their time, the followed by questions from the moderator regarding inspiration, writing process, etc. The sessions will then wrap up with aprox 15 min of time left for questions from the audience.
The scheduling of each panel on the given day is to be determined, but there will be one morning panel, and one afternoon panel.
Each panel has a participation cap and moderator to ensure each author has time to speak. Space is limited and will be first come first serve.
What types of books ARE considered?
We will consider all submissions that meet our guidelines. We strive to present a diverse and thoughtful mix of excellent writers in the following genres:
- Fiction – General fiction and genre fiction such as mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and more.
- Nonfiction – including history, biography, memoir, essay, and other nonfiction topics that encourage respectful discussion on a variety of topics and ideas
- Self Help
- Children’s and Young Adult literature
What types of books ARE NOT considered?
As a community-focused festival, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment and therefore do not accept books that promote hate, discrimination, or harmful ideologies of any kind.
Who decides which authors are invited?
Decisions will be made by the Voices of the Valley Literary Festival staff based on creating a diverse festival with a blend of genres and authors. Space is limited and panels fill up quickly. The Festival reserves the right to accept or reject any submission at its sole discretion. All decisions are final.
